Neosorb (equivalent to Vicryl rapid)
The suture retains approximately 50% of its initial strength after 5 days. After 10–14 days, the tensile strength is almost completely lost. Fully absorbed after 42 days.
PGA - Braided absorbable suture
Braided, violet, resorbable PGA suture with a 3/8 reverse-cutting needle. Retains approximately 65% of its initial strength after 14 days and 35% after 21 days. Fully absorbed after 60–90 days.
Neosorb (similar to Vicryl ordinary)
Resorbable PGLA (Polyglactin 910) suture. Retains approximately 50% of its initial strength after three weeks and is fully absorbed after 56–70 days.
